Jordan Larson Joins Midland University Volleyball Coaching Staff

Jordan Larson, a three-time Olympian and Nebraska volleyball legend, has joined the Midland University coaching staff as a volunteer assistant. Larson will work with head coach Paul Giesselmann and the Warriors this fall.
“Jordan lends instant credibility whenever She walks into practice,” And Giesselmann said in a press release. “She has a wealth of experience at the highest levels of the game, and I’m excited to see what she can do to help our program.“
Larson is a native of Lincoln, Nebraska, and played collegiately at Nebraska from 2006-2010. She was a four-time All-American and helped the Huskers win two national championships. After college, Larson played professionally in Turkey, Italy, and China. She also made three appearances in the Olympics, winning gold in 2016 and silver in 2020.
In 2020, Larson was inducted into the Nebraska Athletics Hall of Fame. She is also a member of the USA Volleyball Hall of Fame.
“I’m excited to get back to Nebraska and help coach the next generation of volleyball players,” Larson said. “I’m looking forward to working with Paul and the Warriors, and I’m confident that we can build a successful program.”
The Warriors have been successful under Giesselmann. They have won three conference championships and made two appearances in the NAIA national tournament.

Larson’s addition to the coaching staff is a major coup for Midland University. And She is one of the most decorated volleyball players in Nebraska history, and her experience at the highest levels of the game will be invaluable to the Warriors.
