has been unexpectedly ousted from the tournament after a stunning defeat to Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece.

The match, which was played in front of a packed crowd at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne

saw Tsitsipas defeat Nadal 6-7, 7-6, 7-5, 7-6 in a highly competitive match that lasted for more than four hours

The Spanish tennis star, who had won the Australian Open title four times before

was looking to become the first man in the Open era to win five titles at the tournament.

However, it was not to be, as Tsitsipas proved too strong for the Spaniard

Tsitsipas, who is only 20 years old, had previously defeated Nadal in the third round of the 2018 Madrid Open
